Lens Attachments | |
|
| I use two lens attachments with the Sony DSC-F828 for both Macro and Telephoto purposes. Both lenses are made by a company in Japan called Raynox and were next to impossible to find. God bless the Internet! The Sony has a 7x manual zoom that can be increased to 14x with digital interpolation. The examples below show first the basic 7x magnification. The second image shows the 14x interpolated image, and the third image is with the lens attachment and the same level of magnification at 14x. The DCR-250 Super Macro blew my mind with how close I could get to the subject. The DCR-2020 Pro had less of a dramatic effect but any help with getting closer to a subject that might fly or run away is welcome help indeed. More toys for me to play with! |

DCR-2020 Pro 2.2x 440mm | DCR-250 Super Macro | The Lenses Unpacked |
| I'm not very impressed with the DCR-2020 Pro Telephoto lens.Granted the two subjects below are roughly thirty feet fromthe lens but from the 14x interpolated zoom to the additionof the lens there isn't the desired improvement I was lookingfor. The shell and power box are in full frame and twice theoriginal size so it will help, especially when shooting wildlife. | ||

The magnification borderson scientific photography and really opens the door to advancedMacro Photography. I'll have a ton of fun experimenting shootinginsects, flowers, and everyday stuff you find around the house. |
