I took
this shot after placing the live rock in the tank.
After a few days the water will smell
like
rotten eggs while the decomposing material breaks down by
bacterial activity. The
first
week is the worst but with filtration and massive water
changes the water clears
and the
smell goes away. It sucks but you only have to do it
once.
