After
much deliberation and reading I finally settled on the E6850
Core 2 Duo from Intel.
Even
though my motherboard supports the new Penryn and the Quad
Cores are all the
rage.
When push came to shove I just couldn't justify the extra
$700 bucks for the minimal
performance gain. If your using apps like Studio Max
or Maya the Quad Cores really
start to
shine but for gaming, web design, and even CS3, forget it.
There's a difference
between
forking out cash for sweet hardware and just being an idiot.
